Comic-Styled Text Effect in Photoshop

Today, I will cover how to create the following styled text using Photoshop. Comic-styled text can provide a great cartoon effect as well as a change from the traditional text effects.

Set up the image however you wish to set it up. Select the Type Tool (T). For this type of text effect, you'll want a good comic-styled font face. There are hundreds of fonts available for free download throughout the Internet if you can't find one. For this example, I will be using <b>A.C.M.E. Secret Agent</b> at italic at 18pt. Type anything you want. Here's what I have so far:
 
Now all that is left is to add some layer styles! Once you start using this effect with larger text, you will have to increase the sizes of these layer styles.
 
 
There you go! Use this effect in your images and never be afraid to experiment with it. Here's my final product:
