I just had an idea, and I feel pretty dumb for only thinking of it now. Whenever I reject a submitted graphic or stock photo, or whatever, instead of what we have now, which is "reject and delete and forget about it," how about just post the graphic on the site anyway, but only on the forums and not in the graphics section? That way, the person who posted that graphic can still get feedback from the community. This might also keep me in check from being too harsh sometimes in that if feedback is generally good, then it might be added to the site's content pages. Thoughts?

I think this is a great idea taking into consideration what IC's aim is- a forum for webdesigners/masters instead of just a depository of resources.

I agree with what Jenny says :D It's a great idea, and one of the reasons that graphic makers don't learn is because they don't get feedback.. The IC community is strong, and rather polite when it comes to giving honest feedback, so I think that's a great idea :D

haha "rather polite" has never, ever been applied to me before. Thank you! But it's true for IC.

Besides, we (most of us anyway) give pretty good criticism...

Exactly, that's why I felt dumb for not thinking of this already.

Considering all the other things you've set up, thought up, and done up... we'll forgive you :P

Good idea! I think that'd be good for people who want to go back and edit what they've submitted.

This is a great idea & it will allow more activity to happen on IC.

This topic just appeared... :P Anyways, I have no idea what I was talking about in my comment above...It makes no sense.

Was this ever implemented on the old IC? Along the lines of "rejection," I think that we should go through the color schemes and pull out ones that are too similar to others of higher quality.

I commented on the Staff Forum with some ideas on implementing this :)

Perhaps we should all discuss this over there?
